Thank you for the nice reaction about our report regarding the tennis players in France. But we have some news, that is not so positive, about the two women-players of Japan: Sugiyama and Asagoe. They didn't make it.... Both players lost their match in the second round. That is real regrettable.
Let's hope that they have more luck in the next tournament!

we just like you to know that we wrote a mistake regarding the tennis-players from Belgium. Today was the fifth player at the tennis-court and this player won his match. So not two, but three tennis-players from Belgium are going to the second round!
Today our female player: Kim Clijsters played her second match and won with 2-0. Congratulations and...up to the third round...
The Japanese players: Sugiyama and Asagoe didn't play.

because we know that you are playing tennis, we think that you are also a tennis-fan. If you are, you will know that the tournament in France: 'Roland Garos' started on Monday. But Monday was a very rainy day and therefor were a lot of matches, of the first round, played today: Tuesday the 28th of May.
Our Belgium players played not that excellent and only two players, of five, are going to the second round: One male and one female. Let's hope that they can play their game the comming days and that they are doing it all right.
When we looked at the results, we also looked for the players from Japan, almost automaticly. Perhaps you are interested in their results?
We found no one playing with the male players, but three female players:
Jidkova (Rus) - OBATA : 0-6 / 6-2 /6-0
ASAGOE - Myskina (19 Rus) : 3-6 /6-2 / 7-5
SUGIYAMA (26) - Bartoli (Fra) : 6-3 / 4-6 / 7-5
64 female players started.
